July’s featured ceramic artist at the Helena Clay Arts Guild is Doug McDonald. The Guild show highlights Doug's functional ware that derives from a strong inspiration and admiration of historic pottery from Europe and North Carolina. Join the celebration at the Featured Artist Reception on Friday evening, July 16th from 6 – 8 PM in The Guild's gallery.
Doug McDonald has become masterful at firing various kilns at The Clay Arts Guild and especially Doug’s use of the Guild’s salt/soda kiln will make you swear you are holding a pot that was made long long ago.
The show, which runs from July 6-25, features McDonald’s work plus a sampling of other member’s work.
